Elsa and Paul Käfer laid the foundation stone in 1930 in Munich with the opening of a "colonial goods store with wines, liqueurs and bottled beer". Today, the Käfer Group is based on four economic pillars: party service, gastronomy, retail and licensing. Especially the food halls at Feinkost Käfer Headquarter in Munich are world famous for a good reason and much more than a high-end supermarket: they offer the finest products from around the globe and the region, fresh herbs growing on the roof top and a whole range of sustainable products including Hallstein Water.
